Before anyone can say that they are a friend, we should first understand what it means to be a friend in the first place. Are you that friend that only calls when you need something? Are you that friend that checks in often to see how the other is doing? Are you that friend that only calls or texts when you have a problem and need to vent to someone? Are you that friend that always says ” oh we must get together and go out, but you say you are so busy, but your Facebook post show otherwise? Are you that friend that is always there regardless of what? Are you that friend that comes around once a year like the holidays? Are you that friend that never has time to talk or are you that friend that talks late into the night or early morning? Are you that friend that is happy for your friend(s) growth or are you that friend that stops speaking to them afterwards?
So before any of us say that we are friends, understand first what it means to be one!
Take a look at this video and it will have you in tears and have you asking yourself….Why sweat the small stuff.
Not only should this man get the money being offered by the government, but it should be tax free! There is no amount of money that a person can receive that will give them back all the years they lost with their family, friends, their good name, and job. He should also have his benefits reinstated as if he was discharged from the service honorably and receive those benefits also!

A man on the beach where thousands of starfish lay dying in the sun saw a girl tossing them into the sea, one by one. “Why bother?” he asked. “You won’t make much of a difference.” Tossing yet another starfish into the sea, the girl said, ” I made a difference to that one.”
Sarah Breedlove, known as Madam C. J. Walker, was an African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a political and social activist. Eulogized as the first female self-made millionaire in America, she became one of the wealthiest African American women in the country, “the world’s most successful female entrepreneur of her time,” and one of the most successful African-American business owners ever.
This is what I am talking about!!! Self-made millionaire! Just think about the ideas that you have stored up in your head. If you were just to unleash them, where would they take you and where would you be?

Congratulations! You have been nominated to attend the 2017 International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) in your choice of Australia, China, New Zealand, or South Africa.
As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, you have been chosen for this honor based on your exemplary academic performance and your declared major upon joining Phi Theta Kappa.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your selection! It is precisely the personal dedication, focus and academic excellence that you display that separates Phi Theta Kappa and its members from other college organizations. I believe strongly in holding values such as these in high regard and rewarding them whenever possible.
This speech was given a lot time ago, but it still rings true today! There is still so much that we need to work on as a nation even though we have accomplished some previous goals. More love and less hate is still needed!
